Guidance for presenters

Upload deadline: 7th June 2022

General information

Requirements during the workshop:

  • Make sure you have access to an internet connection, a webcam, and audio.

  • Be able, and available to, chat with delegates via Zoom.

  • Be happy with your presentation being delivered online.

  • Please use the accessibility guide before making your presentation to ensure your presentation is inclusive for all conference delegates.

Code of conduct

  • Delegates should be adhering to the conference Code of Conduct, and you should contact organisers if there are any problems with members of the conference.

Talks

Presentations

  • Presentations are 20 mins (with 5 minutes for questions) and plenary presentations are 40 minutes (with 15 minutes for questions).

  • Presentations, questions and discussions will be over Zoom.

  • Please prerecord talks using Zoom (or similar), and we recommend that you include your webcam (i.e. 'talking head') in the recording.

  • All talks will be pre-recorded and streamed over a Zoom webinar. All presenters will need to be available to answer questions from delegates after their presentation.

 â€‹

  • Delegates will submit their questions through the Q&A box and the chairs will ask these questions directly to he presenter.

  • We ask that you upload your talk to your own YouTube account so that you can edit the closed captions to ensure your talk is accessible to all attendees. It is very easy (and free) to set up a YouTube account, and it's part of the google suite so even easier if you have a Google account already. Advice on how to edit closed captions can be found here. Please then send us your video URL below so that we can compile these into playlists on the ASAB conference account.

  • Please upload your URL before the end of 7th June 2022 to allow us time to organise the presentations before the conference.
